ALBUQUERQUE — Today, Bernalillo County District Attorney Raúl Torrez announced that State Representative Meredith Dixon (District 20 - Bernalillo) has endorsed his campaign for New Mexico Attorney General.
“I've worked closely with Raúl to protect victims of crime, especially children, and strengthen public safety in our community,” said Dixon. “As District Attorney, he has worked tirelessly to safeguard our families by implementing new technologies and data systems to be proactive against repeat offenders and criminal networks. That's the kind of strong leadership we need as Attorney General.”
During the recent crime crisis, Raúl flipped the crime-fighting system on its head by using real-time data to be proactive against repeat offenders and their criminal networks, and has formed national partnerships that leverage the same technology that helps us build our family trees to crack cold cases like homicides and rapes. Raúl has also led the way in using technology to bring about much needed transparency and accountability in the criminal justice system.
